One of the things that gives the greatest pleasure at La Faula is the garden, both to Luca for whom it is a work of love and to the guests who can relax amongst the greenery and the flowers. In 1995 Luca left London and returned to La Faula with Paul. Neither of the men foresaw the dramatic changes that have occurred in the world subsequently. Cities that were merely big have become enormous and digitisation has brought to most La Faula guests a level of inescapable connectivity to people and work that detracts from possibilities of peace, solitude and contemplation.
